Corsica
| Corsica is French territory and has a surface of 183 by 85 kilometeres (8722 square kilometer). It has a 1000 kilometer long coastline and the inland has mountains with an maximum altitude of 2000 meters. Some even have ski-resorts. The west-coast has rough conditions, while the eastern part of the island has more moderate conditions. Good windsurfspots are hard to find on the east-coast because of the constant West-winds. For the better windsurfareas one has to travel to the western coastline. Here the Mistral wind creates the more chalanging windsurfconditions. |
